Sports fans have been an important part of the explosive success both collegiate and professional athletics has enjoyed. In 2013 a recognition award show was created to honor fans and their contribution to the sports industry it's called the What A Fan Awards. Its been held in Orlando Florida but will be relocated to Los Angeles California in 2016. Over the coming weeks we're going to introduce you to some of the countries most devoted fans of all genres of sports in their own words.
Because we eat,sleep & breathe browns football. We watch every single game and cheer our team on no matter what. Win or lose. We go to as many games as we can ,home & away. We tailgate at every home game. We get up at 4am and root our team on until the end. We go to every BROWNS backer event,charity & never miss a day of training camp. Our rooms are done in BROWNS,we have a fan cave too!! We support our team ALL YEAR ROUND. We love our Brownies!!!
What triggered your passion for sports?
It's a family thing.... The LOVE of game started with our parents. We've grown up knowing no other team but the BROWNS. We would have it no other way. BROWNS = FAMILY.
Favorite sports moment?
Going to our first away game last year in buffalo. We road tripped with our parents and uncle. It was the most amazing experience ever. We had the best time. We hope to travel to at least one away game every year Until we've been to every stadium to cheer on our BROWNS.
What charitable programs are you involved with?
RAKE (random acts of kindness everywhere) And we like to go around our neighborhood and do yard work for the elderly who have trouble getting around. In the summer we now lawns and the winter we shovel driveways .
How does your family feel about your fandom?
They love it. They have the same passion. They are the reason we are such die hard fans at a young age. It runs in our blood. Our family supports us 100%.
Why do you love your team?
We love our Cleveland Browns because there is no better feeling than football season in our house. We look forward to it every year. When training camp starts we get so happy. It means more fun,family and football. We get to meet and watch all our players. It's the coolest. We love our browns because they work so hard every year and never give up Trying. They are teaching us to never give up on our dreams. Browns football means teamwork. It means effort. It means family. We love our team because what would our city be without football? We lost them once and our parents said it was the worst time in the city. We can't wait to carry on our love for the browns when we get older. the players always go out and do things for others. We think that it's important to give back. We love our browns because they love us. It's super cool to have the players do the dawg pound chant With us in the stands.
How was your character created?
We just started collecting BROWNS gear over the year's. Our Mom helped us with our names and our sister got her name from the muni-lot. Everyone starting calling her Lucky Leopard because she always wears leopard print with her BROWNS gear. It's her favorite. And we (the boy's) started just wearing every piece of BROWNS stuff we owned. Painting our Mohawks orange and it grew from there. We're still improving our look each year. Then our Mom thought of the group name Dawg Pound Pups. We love it. It's going on our jerseys this year :)
How important is this Award Show to you?
We want to bring it home for everyone. It's not just for us... It's for EVERYONE that loves the BROWNS. our fan's are so amazing. Cleveland is always underestimated and forgotten about... It's be great to show our team off!!!
