Sports fans have been an important part of the explosive success both collegiate and professional athletics has enjoyed. In 2013 a recognition award show was created to honor fans and their contribution to the sports industry it's called the What A Fan Awards. Its been held in Orlando Florida but will be relocated to Los Angeles California in 2016. Over the coming weeks we're going to introduce you to some of the countries most devoted fans of all genres of sports in their own words.
Our parents have instilled their passion and love for sports in us. We really appreciate all their effort to show us how playing sports can really make a difference in us. We feel that we should be able to get recognized with this award because of our loyalty and commitment to our team and sport! Not only in baseball, we stay committed to our basketball and football teams as well.
What triggered your passion for sports?
Our parents have given us the privilege of being part of our local sport teams throughout our young lives. We've been in t-ball, soccer, and basketball several times throughout each season of the year.
Who would you like to meet?
We would like to meet Adrian Gonzalez because of his Hispanic Mexican origin. We admire his devotion to the sport, work ethic, and his personality.
What charitable programs are you involved with?
At our local school, we volunteer our time to help and support on special events, especially when sports are involved . At our local recreational parks we go around and pick up trash to make them look clean and nice for families that go and play.
Tell us why you love your team?
The Los Angeles Dodgers are an amazing team. They do so well against other MLB teams. Sometimes they fall, but get right up the next game. We love how connected they are with the community and their dedication to make fans happy! They have a unique ability of making a lot of people fall in love with this sport. We love LA is the hash tag we enjoy meeting people from the community which have one thing in common, loving LA!
What would winning the What A Fan Award mean to you?
Winning a What A Fan Award would mean so much to us, as kids and as a family. If we'd win, we'd have a global recognition of our love and passion for sports is. In addition, this award would have so much significance and would impact our lives that much more in our world of sports!
