Sports fans have been an important part of the explosive success both collegiate and professional athletics has enjoyed. In 2013 a recognition award show was created to honor fans and their contribution to the sports industry it's called the What A Fan Awards. Its been held in Orlando Florida but will be relocated to Los Angeles California in 2016. Over the coming weeks we're going to introduce you to some of the countries most devoted fans of all genres of sports in their own words.
Since the early 1970's
Why should you be selected winner in this category?
I'm a faithful fan, win or lose, with any of my teams. i went to many games when i lived in NJ and since moving to FL i attend every game when my teams come to town. i am constantly wearing jerseys or t shirts of all of my teams throughout the year.
What triggered your passion for sports?
Fell in love with the flyers and Philies when i was a young kid.
Favorite sports moment?
Flyers winning the Stanley Cup.
Who would you like to meet and why?
Bobby Clark again and again, already have met many Flyers and Phillies.
What charitable programs are you involved with?
Flyers wives carnival, chase utley spca
How does your family feel about your passion?
They think I'm totally nuts.
How important is it for you to have an Award Show for fans?
I think its a great idea, fans don't normally get the recognition or sometimes they get bad recognition.
