Meet PredNation, What A Fan Awards Tailgate Club/Group Nominee's. This Arena Football League tailgate club is one of the most active membership clubs we've seen in any sport. As fans of the Orlando Predators they've turned their passion for their team into a compassionate movement. They're active in the community and beast in the stands at games.

Sports fans have been an important part of the explosive success both collegiate and professional athletics has enjoyed. In 2013 a recognition award show was created to honor fans and their contribution to the sports industry it's called the What A Fan Awards. Its been held in Orlando Florida but will be relocated to Los Angeles California in 2016. Over the coming weeks we're going to introduce you to some of the countries most devoted fans of all genres of sports  in their own words.

How long have you been a fan?

We have been fans of the Orlando Predators since their inaugural seen which dates back to 1991.

Tell us why you should be selected winner in this category?

Prednation tries our best to represent everything good about being an arena football fan. We are dedicated and strive to get more fans involved with our team and club. If we win we feel it would be a great way to show fans in the AFL that our sport isn’t as minor as people say it is. The recognition could hopefully help us build a bigger fan base for our team, club and most of all with helping our charities. 

Favorite sports moment?

The greatest sports moment for us is when we won our first ever Arena Bowl. Also going to the playoffs 19 straight season and that being a record for any sports team in the US.

Who would you like to meet?

Would love to meet Dan Marino not only is he the greatest QB in Miami Dolphin history but I love what he does for his charity foundation. His charity which is called the Dan Marino Foundation helps kids with Autism and other special needs. I think this is great and I would love to learn more about his foundation considering my Nephew has Autism. I would love to see what I can do to help my Nephew and what ideas Dan Marino and his foundation have to offer. 

What charitable programs are you involved with?

Debbie Turners Cancer Center, this is a charity through our club and every year we donate a Predhead to raise money for her center. Alzheimer’s Foundation, Every year our club walks together and last year we raised a little over $900 for the walk. Russell Home Orlando, this is a charity we help through our club and every year we donate a Predhead and this year it raffled for just over $600. Fans against Child Abuse, This is also a charity we help through our club and In April we helped with the Christmas in July event through the club. I was a bit nervous being the first time helping out with this event. We collected over 3 barrels of toys at the April Orlando Predators home game. We have also put our fans against child abuse banner on the back of our business cards. SNIP, I found out some of our members run this nonprofit and have been working with them through the club to get more exposure and fundraising during our football games. We recently met someone who works on the board of a nonprofit called Jordan’s Smile. A little boy who lost his life from Primary Amoebic Meningoencephalitis on July 2, 2014 at the age of 11 while on vacation with his family. He was a big Orlando Predator fan I recently had the pleasure of meeting his dad and look forward to working with them more closely.

How does your family feel about your passion for sports?

Our families supports us 100%. Prednation is one BIG HAPPY Family. 

How was your character created?

Our characters and outfit were created based on our team name. But each individual PREDHEAD is designed to what you want or in some cases your favorite sports team, Military background, movie themes, etc. We are 100 strong and growing.

How important is it for you to have an Award Show for fans?

I do believe it is very important to have an award show for fans because its shows the world that its not all about the athletes that play the sports but the fans that go above and beyond to show support and dedication to their beloved sports team. If it wasn’t for the fans their would be no sports teams in a city.

What would winning the What A Fan Awards mean to you?

Winning a WHAT A FAN award would mean a lot to us because it would show how hard and dedicated fans we are to our Orlando Predators. The AFL doesn’t get much recognition and this would be a great opportunity to win the award and show the Orlando Predator organization and other fans this great opportunity to get involve and win a award.
